Top 10 Biggest BPO Companies in the Philippines

The Philippines is hailed as the call center capital of the world. By next year, experts estimate that the country’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry will generate $25 billion in revenue, accounting for about 10% of the Philippines’ economy and as much as the total amount expected to be sent home by the 11 million Filipino nurses, sailors, musicians and others working overseas.

The Philippines has experienced an increase of overseas investors investing in the BPO Industry in the past decade. Below is a list of the Top 10 biggest BPO Companies in the Philippines.

1. Accenture Inc. (P28.104 billion in revenues)

The first and biggest outsourcing company in the Philippines. Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, with more than 323,000 people serving clients in more than 120 countries.

2. Convergys Philippines Services Corp. (P17.281 billion)

One of the biggest outsourcing companies in the Philippines. It boasts 18 contact center facilities in key cities nationwide. The company employs well over 28,000 employees.

3. JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A-Philippine Global Service Center (P10.805 billion)

In 2005, JPMorgan established the Philippine Global Service Center (GSC) in Manila to provide strategic support to the firm’s various lines of business. The GSC services the clients and customers of these businesses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week around the world.

4. 24/7 Customer Philippines Inc. (P7.711 billion)

In 2003, the company was recognized as “One of the World’s Six Best Start-ups” by Fortune magazine, and “Amongst dream employers in the Indian BPO Industry” by Dataquest. In 2006, Business Week ranked [24]7 among the Top 5 Players in the Offshore Outsourcing World, while NeoIT placed the Company among the Top 3 Contact Centers worldwide.

5. Telephilippines Inc. (P7.241 billion);

The company started its operation in the Philippines since 1996 and has grown to become one of the biggest outsourcing companies in the Philippines. The company employs more than 41,000 people in the country and operates more than 26,500 workstations in 16 business sites located across Metro Manila, Antipolo, Baguio, Bacolod, Cebu and Davao.

6. TeleTech Offshore Investments B.V. (P6.978 billion)

Teletech established their first offshore call center in the Philippines back in 2004, and has since become one of the biggest employers in the country’s BPO sector. 

7. Sutherland Global Services Philippines Inc. (P6.805 billion)

The company started in the Philippines in 1986 and has since become one of the biggest outsourcing company in the Philippines. Headquartered in Rochester, N.Y., Sutherland is one of the world’s largest independent BPO companies employing over 30,000+ professionals across 40+ operation centers and business operations located across the world.

8. Stream International Global Services Philippines Inc. (P6.738 billion)

The company is a BPO company acquired by Convergys thru a definitive merger, with more than 37,000 employees in 22 countries in 50 contact centers; it managed more than 100 million voice, e-mail, and chat contacts a year.

9. Sitel Philippines Corp. (P6.364 billion)

Since its inception in 2000, the company has 9 sites in the Philippines, employed over 13,000 employees and has received multiple awards. The company has markets in U.S. Canada, United Kingdom, Australia  and New Zealand.

10. Deutsche Knowledge Services Pte. Ltd. (P5.754 billion)
