Outsourcing Grinch, or Outsourcing Holiday?

Mince Pies and Christmas cakes in Australia, Cougnou in Belgium, Apple Cider in Canada, Thirteen Deserts in France, and Roasted Turkey in the UK, while outsourcing company employees like in the Philippines turn on the microwaves and greet through messengers. Whilst the entire world is celebrating the holidays, every decent outsourcing company, and company employee have conditioned body clocks on queue with the project client.
Here are the top ten favorite Christmas celebrations in the very limited outsourcing Christmas world:
1. Christmas e-cards
For the lucky ones who can actually open their personal mails at work, this is one of the frail attempts of a Christmas. Of course, this also includes the possibility of Christmas greetings received without a sound, only through instant messengers.
2. Christmas Wallpapers
Holidays may bring about some hang time, not for the computer, but for the person in front of it. Christmas wallpapers to relieve one’s self of the benefit of spending the Yuletide season in front of something actually “Yuletidely”.
3. Christmas Songs
Centralized music, or headset blast. Just to remind the outsource employee, or boss, that it’s actually Christmas in your own time zone.
4. A Three Shift Christmas Party
An Outsourcing company party should run for no less than 24 hours. This is not because of the drunken festivities, but rather, to cover all three possible shifts within the day. The length is also to make up for a possible November 30, or a lucky December 26 party.
5. Microwavable Instant Noodles
Christmas dinner has not even been prepared yet, thus, upon arrival at work, people gather around a festive table of a variety of instant noodle flavors.
6. Coffee
At the strike of 12, work has to be done, and projects need to be completed. A cup of coffee would suffice. With a cinnamon stick, mind you, for that Christmas touch.
7. Computer Gizmo Gifts / software updates...
No, not all outsource staffs are computer geeks, but it would be nice to get an update, that’s still something at the least.
8. Christmas Alcohol at 7 in the morning (shift closing)
If no 24 hour bar is available, resort to convenience store beer raid.
9. Thirteenth Month / Christmas Bonus
This serves the purpose for Celebration number 7 and 8.
10. AWOL (Absent With Out Leave)
Rare, and a celebration loss an outsource employee would get used to in a snap, he wouldn’t even notice Santa Clause under the company Christmas tree.
