The 9th e-Services Global Sourcing Conference and Exhibition in the Philippines will unveil the latest globalization trends in its two-day conference and exhibit on February 9 and 10 in Manila. This trade event is led by the Department of Trade and Industry through the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions, Board of Investments and Foreign Trade Service Corps.

Manila, Philippines (PRWEB) January 13, 2009 -- Close to 140 ICT and BPO companies are expected to gather in the 9th e-Services Global Sourcing Conference and Exhibition (9-10 February 2009, SMX Convention Center) and global thought leaders will also unveil the latest globalization trends in the show's C-level conference.

e-Services comes at an important time at the Philippine ICT and BPO sector in light of the recent paradigm shift in the global economic scene. As multinational cut costs to cope with the changing market landscape, the Philippine ICT and BPO industry sees a bright spot for global companies looking into cost-effective locations for their operations. This also poses an opportunity for the Philippines' next wave cities or ICT hubs that are potential investment areas for ICT and BPO services.

Topics to be covered in the conference are: Changing the Rules of Engagement (insights on the effect of the current financial market on globalization); Fortune Favors the Bold (first-hand strategies that companies can use to transform complex situations into growth opportunities); Business Beyond Borders (market forces that drive globalization today); Leadership Evolution and Transformation (outsourcing as a means to push the companies forward); Tale of the Mega Vendors (emerging mega vendors on how they leverage their critical competencies); Trends that Shape the Future (latest industry buzz on collaboration, distributed workforces, emerging markets, IT outsourcing, globalization, nearshoring, procurement, and provisioning).

Targeted sessions are also being laid down for key ICT sectors such as software development, animation, games development, health information management, voice and non-voice services).

e-Services is also an international meeting place of C-level executives from countries such as the Philippines, India, China, Europe, United States, Japan, Australia, and United Kingdom.

"e-Services is a strong endorsement of the partnership between the Philippine government and the private sector," said David Barrett, chief of Procuritas Limited.

The show also features local emerging cities that are ready to take outsourcing contracts. To date, e-Services finished its road shows at several of the next wave cities, namely Davao, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Baguio, and Subic.

e-Services is led by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), an attached agency of the Department of Trade and Industry together with the Board of Investments and the Foreign Trade Service Corps.
