Debates have raged about whether to use a case on an iPhone or whether it’s better to go without. Many feel that the smooth, minimalist iPhone design best fits in a pocket or purse sans case, but others insist that its beauty needs to be protected from the (sometimes cruel) concrete jungle we inhabit.
Personally, I’m too much of a klutz not to keep my iPhone in a case. It wouldn’t last a week before my beloved communicator met its inevitable destiny with concrete or asphalt. Because of this propensity to drop my gadgets I almost always carry them fully protected.
The leather cases from AB Sutton are some of the best I’ve seen. For starters they’re hand-stitched in New York from the highest quality leather. High attention to detail is evident in the cutting and stitching of the leather and they literally fit the iPhone 3GS like a glove. The best part is that you can fully customize your AB Sutton case to match your personality. Everything including the leather, thread, lining, monogram, font, trim, size and port can be exhaustively customized.
If you’re in a hurry an AB Sutton case may not be for you (mine took about 3 weeks to arrive), but if you’re a stickler for quality your patience will pay off. They’re not cheap either, a simple slip case for the iPhone will run you $88, a sport slip with monogram and strap (as pictured) will set you back around $138 - but then again, quality never comes cheap.
AB Sutton also makes case for iPods, Blackberries and Kindles. I can’t wait to see what they come up with for the iPad.
