MANILA, Philippines--Hewlett Packard (HP) has announced its line-up of
hardware and software products that are compatible with the upcoming
version of Microsoft's server operating system.
Microsoft is set to launch Windows Server 2008 early next year.
In a statement, HP announced Windows Server 2008 support for its
Integrity, Proliant and BladeSystem servers and also with its
StorageWorks line of storage hardware.
HP also announced support for Windows Server 2008 environments across
its portfolio of business technology optimization (BTO) software,
including the recently released Business Service Automation suite.
The pre-launch announcement is meant to address migration concerns from
end-users, according to David Tan, HP Philippines managing director.
"HP recognizes the significance of infrastructure selection to the
success of IT applications and the business processes that rely on
them," he said.
On the services side, HP will offer planning, design, implementation
around Windows Server 2008 as a Microsoft integration partner.
Additionally, HP Services will offer customized training to prepare
customers for Windows Server 2008. Services include classroom and
web-based training.
