Posted on February 2, 2017

The demand for online gaming has been great as the rise of the said medium has attracted a following amongst the youth. Online or “offshore” gaming is just one of the latest forms of services that are being put through business process outsourcing companies, according to property consultant Colliers International.

Potential Outsourcing Growth

In the past year alone, 80,000 square meters of office space have been used to accommodate the need for the growth in that particular sector, especially seeing the growing interest in both local and foreign investors. These accounts are used to maintain both gaming operations and technical and customer support.

Government Accreditation

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation has created POGO, or the Philippine Offshore Gaming Organization, to address this need to issue licenses to these online gaming companies. With an initial 25 licenses, they have plans to increase to 50. This is said to be a boom to outsourcing companies with gaming accounts, as it allows for more opportunities for growth.
