Filipinos and Outsourcing Jobs are a Good Fit

For most Filipinos who works in abroad have been recognized because of their ability to get things done, expertise in different field, to get along with their employer and be able to fit into the foreign communities and most especially we Filipinos are known for our ability to speak English.

In the fast-growing international industry of business process outsourcing (BPO), the Philippines today is the top voice outsourcing destination in the world surpassing India in 2012, because of the proficiency in English language.

Last week, former President and now Pampanga Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo with her House Bill 5091 the congresswoman wants to restore, strengthen and enhance the proficiency in English language as the medium of instruction in the all public and private school all across the country but, the Filipino language shall continue to be the medium of instruction in the learning areas of Filipino and Araling Panlipunan, according to the bill. The bill she said will develop the competence and proficiency of very Filipino students in the English language so as to maintain and improve their competitiveness in emerging and fast growing industries particularly in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Business Process outsourcing (BPO).

Today, English is spoken 1.5 billion people in the world except North Korea. Wherever Filipino have gone to this planet they continue showing their talents and doing well as doctors, nurses, architects, engineers, teachers, office managers, machine operator, construction workers, care givers and home workers. Even in the corporate world in the Philippines, English language is being used in different fields like in Business Process outsourcing (BPO) companies. Wherever they go Filipinos never forgets their own culture but they also get along well with other people from the host country because of their ability to communicate well in the global language that is English. And that is the BIG reason why Congresswoman Arroyo wants to enhance.
